The main problem in the area is a lack of safe, segregated cycle routes for people to get to the shops. Cycle parking will not be used if people are frightened to cycle in the first place. Please focus on building safe infrastructure to get people walking and cycling to the shops and between schools which would take a big load off the roads. This would enable those who do need to drive to have an easier time. Remember the upsides of lockdown. Quiet roads, people walking and cycling a lot more trips to local shops, together with lots of human interaction (albeit at a safe distance). Fundamentally, people need to get out of the vehicles - I grew up here and even then it was bad, but the automatic assumption of car for everything is choking off the village. People are OBSESSED with parking.

you have suspend one parking bay in Craddocks Parade from3 aug to 30 oct. WHY? not seen any action from any builders to install the cycle hoops. why so long. lack of planning? can't be bother to plan better. no one uses the hoops. people visit the shops by car and park all over the place - like the loading bay, in the hatched zone outside 1. Craddoocks Avenue or the disable bays Does anyone from Surrey CC know what is required in this area or are they just sitting in their comfy offices

Current ones are seldom used fully, so any new ones should not replace a car parking spot.

There's no problem parking cycles in Craddock's Parade at the moment as there's lots of railings. Spend the money putting in cycling racks at Barnet Wood Lane shops or improving the utterly useless cycle lanes in Craddock's.
