I fully support this measure for cyclists and pedestrians - no one should park in a cycle lane. I haven't cycled on this section of road with my kids because of the current situation, so welcome it from that point of view (but wish this was going further and separating the cycling from the road). However, as someone who lives in one of the side streets nearby, I worry about where all the displaced cars are going to park when the grammar school and college reopens. My side street is already difficult for my kids to cycle/walk safely because of the volume of poorly parked cars and cars circling round the streets in the morning, looking for a space and this won't help. Cars need to be discouraged overall and these measures don't go far enough.

Please do something to reduce the dominance of fast moving motorised vehicles in Redhill & Reigate central areas. It feels dangerous and unpleasant to cycle or walk in the area and the high levels of car usage create air and noise pollution.
