I currently cycle along this route and the proposed change will make my journey to work in Salfords and back considerably safer. The traffic has increased significantly along this route and I usually cycle along the pavement to avoid the stop-start traffic to Redhill that often does not leave enough room for a cyclist. The pavement is very bumpy and I have to avoid pedestrians.

My very negative response is solely to removing the hatched middle lane which lets me drive into Chestnut road safely. I do hope that you have thought through eliminating this. Traffic going North just passing The Chequers will indicate right and probably hold traffic up while awaiting to turn. That queue will go back to the pedestrian crossing for sure, and then back up onto the roundabout. Then an emergency services vehicle approaching from the south has no chance. Kick this one into touch, thank you.
