We would love this to happen as soon as possible. My husband cycles to work from our home address along reigate road hookwood. I cannot walk my children to school because the path is so unsafe at the moment you cannot even push a buggy along the road due to all the creeping vegetation and muddy paths and grass. We have been stuck inside our home during lockdown this would enable us to take our children for a walk. And connect us to one of childs schools at westvale park. And the parks there and proposed corner shop. Thank you. This is Good news

Very good idea and have my strong support. Very helpful for cycling to Horley Station.

As a very keen walker I am always pleased when pavements are improved but already feel very vulnerable to pavement cyclists as most have no bells and many make no effort to give walkers space or warn them if approaching from the rear; some seem even to delight in scaring walkers by taking them by surprise in passing too close. But above all, though I know funds are limited, why not also improve the pavement north from Westvale Park to Woodhatch, which is in a dire condition and DESPERATELY needs improvement: it is uneven, overgrown and a trip hazard. When traffic is light it is safer to walk in the road than risk an injury on this pavement.

Has any research been done to assess how many people will use this. Endless amounts of money are wasted on this type of scheme that no one or very few people use. There are far more important works that need to be carried out

Great plans. Have been saying this has been needed for years, A217 is a scary road to cycle down as its a death trap with cars getting way too close at speed. Current foot paths are a hazard for joggers and pedestrians too. Amazed no joggers have slipped over in the mud or broken an ankle as its so uneven. I think this wide path should extend up to reigate aswell. Thanks
